Morgan Sindall PLC02 July 2007 Morgan Sindall plc Morgan Sindall JV awarded Bury, Tameside & Glossop NHS LIFT Construction and urban regeneration group Morgan Sindall plc as part ofCommunity Solutions for Primary Care (CSPC), a joint venture between MorganSindall Investments and Barclays European Infrastructure Fund, has achievedfinancial close on the Bury, Tameside & Glossop NHS LIFT (Local ImprovementFinance Trust) project to build and develop a network of community health andsocial care facilities over the next 20 years. The new purpose-built centres forthe Bury, Tameside and Glossop areas, are part of a new wave of 'supersurgeries' opening up for NHS patients across the country under NHS LIFT publicprivate partnerships. Together with Bury Primary Care Trust, Tameside & Glossop Primary Care Trust andPartnerships for Health, CSPC has formed a public private partnership companycalled Bury, Tameside & Glossop Community Solutions Limited (BTGCS). BTGCS hassigned a 20-year strategic partnering agreement to build and maintain a networkof new health and social care premises in the Bury, Tameside & Glossop areas. Bluestone, Morgan Sindall's construction business, will design and build thefirst wave of two facilities in Ashton and Radcliffe with construction due tostart immediately and will sign a framework agreement for future centres whichis expected to be worth approximately £65 million over an initial five-yearperiod. CSPC currently has similar long-term partnering agreements with four NHS LIFTprojects in Barnsley, Doncaster, South East Hampshire and Camden and Islingtonwhere Bluestone is also the construction partner.
