("GS Inc") had a notifiable interest in the voting rights attachedto 28,700,964 Ordinary 13 8/9p shares representing 7.35% of the total votingrights in The Rank Group Plc. Notes: a) The interest in 28,681,812 shares arose from an interest held by Goldman,Sachs & Co., a wholly-owned direct subsidiary of GS Inc, acting as custodian forits customers.
