("GS Inc") had a notifiable interest in the voting rights attachedto 16,037,795 Ordinary 13 8/9p shares representing 4.11% of the total votingrights in The Rank Group Plc. Notes: a) The interest in 16,018,643 shares arose from an interest held by Goldman,Sachs & Co., a wholly-owned direct subsidiary of GS Inc, acting as custodian forits customers.
