Burren Energy PLC22 December 2006 22 December 2006 Burren Energy PLC Directors' Shareholdings Burren Energy PLC (the "Company") was informed on 21 December 2006 that KeithHenry, the Company's non-executive Chairman, bought 1,000 ordinary shares in theCompany at a price of 841 pence per share. Following this purchase Mr. Henry is interested in 3,000 ordinary shares, whichrepresents approximately 0.002 per cent of the Company's issued share capital. The Company also announces that it received notification on 21 December 2006from Andrei Pannikov that at that date, 4,294,872 ordinary shares of twentypence each were transferred from Sunfloat Shipping Limited to Latravia Limitedand Zounini Limited in the amounts of 1,073,718 ordinary shares and 3,221,154ordinary shares respectively. Mr. Pannikov is the sole shareholder of each ofthe named entities. The shares were transferred for nil consideration. Following the transactions referred to, above, Sunfloat Shipping Limited holds6,542,307 ordinary shares in Burren Energy, which represents approximately 4.652per cent. of the Company's issued share capital. There is no change to Mr. Pannikov's beneficial interest in the Company, whichfollowing this notification remains at 10,837,179 ordinary shares, whichrepresents approximately 7.705 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital.
