Directors' Shareholdings following Open Offer
SIG plc ("the Company") announces that it has been advised that the Directors have taken up their rights to New Ordinary Shares under the Company's recent Open Offer which closed on 8 April 2009. Under the Open Offer, qualifying Shareholders were entitled to buy 11 New Shares at 75 pence for each 7 Existing Shares held.
The Directors' acquired the following Ordinary Shares pursuant to the Open Offer, and now have the following total holdings of Ordinary shares:

* Mr D A Haxby held no shares in the Company at the Record Date for the Open Offer of 16 March 2009, but as has been previously announced, purchased 15,000 shares on 18 March 2009 at 101.5p per share.
Interests in Ordinary Shares under the Company's employee share plans will be adjusted in accordance with the rules of each plan to reflect the effect of the Open Offer and a further announcement will be made about the adjustments to the Executive Directors' interests in Ordinary Shares under the Long Term Incentive Plan in due course.
