Johnston Press plc (the "Company")

Following the completion of the Rights Issue, a number of shares have been transferred within the Johnston family. This has resulted in a reduction of the shares held by Mr FPM Johnston a non-executive director of Johnston Press plc. His holding has reduced from 13,959,182 to 10,469,386 and shares of the other family members have increased. The overall net holding of the family remains unchanged.
