Burren Energy PLC02 October 2006 2 October 2006 Burren Energy Plc Drilling Update : Congo (Brazzaville) Maurel & Prom has made the following announcement in relation to results of arecent development well on the M'Boundi field in Congo (Brazzaville), where itacts as operator. "Well MBD 706, situated in the centre of the M'Boundi field, has been tested at3,500 bopd on a 40/64 inch choke. This result demonstrates the potential of acertain number of infill wells which will form part of the final fielddevelopment plan as from 2007" Burren has a 31.5% interest in the M'Boundi field.
