Air China Ld01 February 2007 AIR CHINA LIMITED (a joint stock limited company incorporated in the People's Republic of China with limited liability) (Stock Code: 753) CHANGE AND APPOINTMENT OF PRESIDENT AND VICE PRESIDENT (Overseas Regulatory Announcement) The 28th meeting of the 1st Board of Directors of Air China Limited (theCompany) considered and resolved in writing that due to personnel transfer, Mr.Ma Xulun cease to act as the President of the Company, and the Company herebyexpresses its gratitude to Mr. Ma Xulun for his contribution to the Companyduring his term of office; Mr. Cai Jianjiang be appointed as the President ofthe Company; and Mr. Tan Zhihong be appointed as the Vice President of theCompany. The changes and appointments referred to above shall become effectiveas of 1 February 2007. The independent directors of the Company have no objection to the resolutionabove. The biography of Mr. Cai Jianjiang has already been disclosed in theCompany's 2005 annual report. Mr. Tan Zhihong, aged 56, the current general manager of the Southwest Branch ofthe Company, graduated from Sichuan International Studies University with majorin English in 1975. In August 1975, he joined the Beijing Administrative Bureauof Civil Aviation of China. From April 1981 to September 1985, he worked at theLondon office of the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China as thecommercial officer and from September 1985 to March 1988, he served as thedeputy director of the international passengers office of the passengerstransportation department of the transportation division, and the director ofthe scheduling and distribution division, of the Beijing Administrative Bureauof Civil Aviation of China. From March 1988 to August 1998, he served in variouspositions such as the deputy manager and manager of Air China TransportationServices Company, the director of the passengers transportation division of AirChina as well as the general manager of the ground services department of AirChina. From August 1998 to September 2004, he was the general manager of theInner Mongolia Branch and Tianjin Branch of Air China respectively. SinceSeptember 2004 to date, he serves as the general manager of Southwest Branch ofthe Company.
