Appointment of Non-Executive Director
The Board of Directors ("the Board") of VinaCapital's VinaLand Limited ("the Company"), an investment company established to target key growth segments within Vietnam's emerging real estate market, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Robert Anthony Eagleson Gordon, aged 57, as an Independent Non-executive Director effective from 16 February 2009.
Robert is a former senior diplomat with 15 years experience of high-level policymaking and service in Whitehall and abroad. He was British Ambassador to Vietnam from 2003-2007 and currently advises a number of companies and organisations on issues concerning Southeast Asia. Mr. Gordon was awarded an OBE in 1983 and a CMG in 1999.

About Robert Gordon
Mr. Robert Gordon was born in Trieste, Italy in 1952. He was educated at King's School Canterbury and Magdalen College Oxford, where he graduated in 1973 with a BA (later MA) in Modern Languages. Robert joined HM Diplomatic Service and has served in Poland, Chile and France. From 1995-1999 he was the British Ambassador to Burma. His last assignment was as British Ambassador to Vietnam in 2003-2007. Mr. Gordon was awarded an OBE in 1983 and a CMG in 1999. He speaks fluent French, Italian and Spanish.
