Transaction in Own Shares
Tate & Lyle PLC ("the Company") announces that on 22 December 2008 it transferred at nil cost 13,957 ordinary shares in the Company for the purpose of satisfying exercises under the 2003 Performance Share Plan. These shares were previously held in Treasury.
Following the above transfer, the Company holds 1,405,425 ordinary shares in Treasury and has 458,583,287 ordinary shares in issue (excluding Treasury shares).
