London, UK - 12 May 2014: Spirent Communications plc ("the Company") (LSE: SPT), a leading communications technology company, would like to notify the market in accordance with the Financial Conduct Authority's ("FCA") Disclosure and Transparency Rule 3.1.4R of the following changes in the interests of a Director / Person Discharging Managerial Responsibility:

The Company was notified on 12 May 2014 that earlier that day, Mr Ian Brindle, non-executive director had purchased 11,941 Ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 98.90 pence per Ordinary share and that his wife had purchased 11,938 Ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 98.90 pence per Ordinary share.

Following this announcement, the total beneficial interest of Mr Brindle and his connected persons in the Ordinary shares of the Company is 28,404 shares.
