Appointment of New Director
Standard Life UK Smaller Companies Trust plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Caroline Ramsay as an independent non-executive Director, with effect from 22 August 2016.
Mrs Ramsay is currently a non-executive Director of Aegon UK where she also chairs the Audit Committee; she is a non-executive Director of Tesco Underwriting Limited and is a member of the Financial Conduct Authority's Regulatory Decisions Committee.
Mrs Ramsay was until 2012 Group Chief Auditor with RSA plc and previous positions held at RSA plc included UK Chief Financial Officer and UK & Western Europe Chief Financial Officer.
Caroline has an MA (Hons) in Natural Sciences from New Hall College, University of Cambridge. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG, Mrs Ramsay held various senior appointments with Norwich Union Insurance (AVIVA) including Strategy Director and Corporate Finance Director before moving to RSA plc.
As at the date of this announcement, Mrs Ramsay has no beneficial interest in the Ordinary shares of the Company.
There are no other disclosures required under Section 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules.
