Skyepharma PLC03 January 2007 For immediate release 3 January 2007 SkyePharma PLC ("the Company") As a result of transactions on 2 January 2007 by the SkyePharma PLC SharePurchase Plan (a Revenue approved all employee share purchase plan), FrankCondella and Peter Grant, directors of the Company, as trustees of the Plan,became the beneficial owners of an additional 4,076 Ordinary Shares of theCompany, bringing the total held by the Plan to 231,026 Ordinary Shares of theCompany. As a result the executive directors of the Company have the following additionalinterests as a result of their personal participation in the Plan:- Partnership Shares Matching Shares Total number of Partnership and Matching Shares purchased on 2 January awarded on 2 January held on 2 January 2007 2007 2007 at £0.2675 per share At £0.2675 per share Frank Condella 468 468 7,372 In accordance with the rules of the Plan, Matching Shares have been awarded onthe basis of one Matching Share for each Partnership Share. The beneficial ownership of the Matching Shares will pass to the director inthree years' time subject to continued employment and the retention of theunderlying Partnership Shares.
