Skyepharma PLC28 February 2005 For Immediate Release 28 February 2005 SkyePharma PLC ("the Company") As a result of transactions on 28 February 2005 by the SkyePharma PLC SharePurchase Plan (an Inland Revenue approved all employee share purchase plan),Michael Ashton and Donald Nicholson, directors of the Company, as trustees ofthe Plan, became the beneficial owners of an additional 4,958 Ordinary Shares ofthe Company, bringing the total held by the Plan to 125,303 Ordinary Shares ofthe Company. As a result the executive directors of the Company have the following additionalinterests as a result of their personal participation in the Plan:- Partnership Matching Total number of Shares purchased Shares awarded Partnership and on 28 February 2005 on 28 February Matching Shares at £0.595 per share 2005 at £0.595 held on 28 per share February 2005 Michael Ashton 210 210 15,722Donald Nicholson 210 210 15,722 In accordance with the rules of the Plan these directors have been awarded theMatching Shares on the basis of one Matching Share for each Partnership Share.
