Meridian Petroleum PLC28 June 2007 Grant of Options Meridian Petroleum (AIM:MRP) announces that on 27th June 2007, StephenGutteridge, non-executive Chairman of the Company, was granted options entitlinghim to acquire 850,000 ordinary shares of 5p each in the Company under thestandard terms of the Company's Unapproved Share Option Plan. The options havean exercise price of 13.75p per ordinary share (being the mid-market closingprice on the day prior to the grant) and are exercisable, subject to conditions,over the period 27/6/2007 to 26/06/2017. The Company announced yesterday that MrGutteridge had purchased 211,028 ordinary shares and his total beneficialinterest in the ordinary shares of the Company represents approximately 1.1% ofthe Company's issued share capital. The Company has also granted options over 300,000 ordinary shares of 5p each toa key employee on the same terms and conditions as above.
