Redemption of Preference Shares
Poundland Group plc today announces the redemption of all of its 49,999 preference shares of £1 each (the "Redemption"). The preference shares, which are not listed, were redeemed at their nominal value of £1 for a total consideration of £49,999. No further preference shares remain in issue following the Redemption.
The Redemption will not affect the listed share capital of or voting rights in the Company. At the time of this announcement, the Company has 250,000,000 ordinary shares of 1p each (the "Ordinary Shares") in issue. The total number of current voting rights in the Company is therefore 250,000,000 Ordinary Shares.
