Photo-Me International PLC05 November 2007 Monday 5 November 2007 PHOTO-ME INTERNATIONAL PLC Appointment of a CEO-designate Photo-Me (PHTM.L), the digital imaging company, announces the appointment ofThierry Barel as CEO-designate. He will be appointed CEO when Serge Crasnianskisteps down. Thierry Barel, aged 46, is a French national and has been in charge ofPhoto-Me's minilab manufacturing activity since April 2007. Previously, he wasat StTM?ubli Group from 1984 to 2006, latterly as Chief Executive Officer from2005 to 2006 and as Corporate Development Officer and member of the GroupExecutive Committee from 2001 to 2004. The Swiss-based StTM?ubli Group isinvolved in mechatronics (textile machinery, robotics and industrialconnectors); in 2006, it had a turnover of SFr1bn, sales units in 24 countries,13 production units and 3,500 employees. Thierry Barel graduated as an engineerfrom Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts et Metiers (ENSAM) in 1983 and speaksfive languages - French, English, Italian, Portuguese and German. When at StTM?ubli Group, he worked in Switzerland, France, the USA and Brazil. Thierry Barel is well qualified for the CEO's role,having run an international group twice the size of Photo-Me, possessing atechnological background, and having spent most of his life in ContinentalEurope, which is the base of Photo-Me's manufacturing activities and the originof most of the profit of its vending activities. He has much less to learn aboutthe Group than an external appointee, yet is new enough to the Group to have,and be receptive to, fresh ideas."
