Lancashire Holdings Limited ("Lancashire") was advised on 23 September 2008 that, as of 18 September 2008, Artisan Partners Limited Partnership ("APLP"), had decreased its ownership interest in aggregate to 6,763,442 of Lancashire's common shares of US$0.50 par value each. Consequently, APLP's shareholding in Lancashire represents approximately 3.91% of the total current issued share capital. Artisan Investment Corporation is the general partner of APLP.
