Lookers plc announces the appointment of Neil Davis as a Board Director of the Company
Lookers plc, ("Lookers" or "the Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Neil Davis as a Board Director of the Company. Neil, aged 46, is Managing Director of the Lookers Parts Division and has been Managing Director of FPS since 2005. Before that he was Finance Director of FPS, having joined in 2000 in order to put together the subsequent management buyout with Terry Wainwright prior to the successful sale of FPS to Lookers in 2004. His previous experience includes 10 years' corporate development and M&A experience, both within the automotive aftermarket and also within global manufacturing. He has an MBA from Manchester Business School and BSc in Economics and Accounting from Bristol University.
Neil's appointment is part of a succession plan that has been under consideration for some time. Terry Wainwright, who is 64 this year, will stay on the Board until the end of this year, following which he will continue with the business in his current role as Chairman of the Parts Division.
Commenting on the appointment, Lookers Chairman Phil White said, "We are delighted to announce Neil's appointment to the plc Board, recognising the fantastic job he has overseen in developing our Independent Parts Division in conjunction with Terry Wainwright and securing succession to continue the strategic development of our industry leading parts business".
