Kiln PLC01 March 2005 Kiln Plc Notification of a Major Interest in Shares The Company has been notified that on 21st February 2005 the partners in theRostrum Investors limited partnerships were the beneficial owners in theaggregate of 16,299,315 Ordinary shares of 1 pence each in the Company,representing approximately 7.99% of the ordinary issued share capital of theCompany. Disclosures have been received in respect of these 16,299,315 shares from thefollowing Rostrum Investors limited partners: BriTel Fund Trustees Limited ("Britel"), Possfund Custodian Trustee Limited ("Possfund"), British AirwaysPension Trustees Limited ("British Airways Pensions"), Stargas Nominees Limited("Stargas") and Kleinwort Benson (Jersey) Trustees Limited ("Kleinwort Trustees") (the latter as a limited partner and as trustee of the Rostrum Group Trust).Mr Michael Wade has disclosed an interest in 16,299,315 shares, all of which heis interested in by reason of his effective shareholding in Rostrum Limited. By virtue of Part VI of the Companies Act 1985, Rostrum Limited has a notifiableinterest in 16,299,315 ordinary shares of Kiln Plc. Rostrum is interested in16,299,315 of those shares by virtue of Sections 204 and 205 of the companiesAct 1985. By virtue of Part VI of the Companies Act 1985, Michael Wade Esq has anotifiable interest in 16,299,315 ordinary shares of Kiln Plc. Stargas is interested in10,045,945 of those shares, representing approximately 4.93% of the ordinaryissued share capital of the Company, by virtue of Sections 204 and 205 of thecompanies Act 1985. By virtue of Part VI of the Companies Act 1985, British Airways Pensions has anotifiable interest in 16,299,315 ordinary shares of Kiln Plc. British AirwaysPensions is interested in 16,299,315 of those shares by virtue of Sections 204and 205 of the companies Act 1985. Of the shares referred to in this notice 321,940 are held in the name of BritelFund Nominees Ltd, nil are held in the name of BT Globenet Nominees Ltd,15,977,375, representing approximately 7.83% of the ordinary issued sharecapital of the Company, are held in the name of Kleinwort Trustees NomineesLimited Rostrum Group Limited ("RGL") has confirmed that it has an interest in15,977,375 shares, which are the shares referred to above as being held byKleinwort Trustees, as RGL exercises control over the voting rights conferred bysuch shares.
