Alan Bigman and Bernie Sucher to join JKX Board as independent directors
JKX Oil & Gas plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Alan Bigman and Bernie Sucher as independent Non-Executive Directors of the Company with effect from 4th April 2016.
Bernie Sucher is currently an independent member of the board of directors of both the Credit Bank of Moscow and Chairman of UFG Asset Management. Previous experience included being Country Head of Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Moscow. For many years he was on the Boards of both the American Chamber of Commerce and the US-Russia Business Council.
Alan Bigman is currently a director of Sanchez Production Partners and co-founder and Director of Vista Tex Energy LLC in the United States. Previously, he served as Chief Financial Officer of LyondellBasell Industries, a leading global chemicals company, and held senior management positions at TNK-BP and SUAL.
With immediate effect, Alan Bigman will become Chairman of the Audit Committee and other members will be Paul Ostling, Bernie Sucher and Vladimir Rusinov. Bernie Sucher will be appointed Chairman of the Remuneration Committee, with Paul Ostling, Alan Bigman and Vladimir Tatarchuk being the other members.
There are no other matters requiring disclosure under Listing Rule 9.6.13.
Paul Ostling, Chairman of JKX's Board, commented, "We said at the outset that one of the first tasks of the new board would be to appoint two strong independent non-executive directors. In Alan and Bernie we have unquestionably done that. They bring exceptional knowledge of working at the highest levels in the region combined with directly relevant experience.
