Work Group plc17 January 2008 Work Group plc ("Work" or the "Group") Pre-close Trading Update Work, the AIM-listed HR Consulting Services group, announces a trading updateahead of the release, on 12 March 2008, of its preliminary results for the yearended 31 December 2007. Solid trading throughout 2007 means that the Board is comfortable that full yearresults will be in line with expectations, notwithstanding approximately£300,000 of start-up costs for the opening of an office in New York. The Board is committed to producing consistent and sustainable value for Workshareholders, and consequently has sanctioned increased investment in organicgrowth during 2008. In particular the Board plans the establishment of apresence in the Asia-Pacific region to develop existing client relationships andbuild a local capability.
