3i Group plc - non-executive Director changes

Jonathan Asquith

3i Group plc announces the appointment of Mr Jonathan Asquith as a non-executive Director. He will join 3i's Board with effect from 7th March 2011.

Mr Asquith is also a non-executive director of Ashmore Group plc, AXA UK plc and Chairman of AXA Investment Managers. He was a director of Schroders plc from 2002 until May 2008, during which time he was Chief Financial Officer and later Vice-Chairman.

Sir Adrian Montague, 3i Chairman, said: "We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Jonathan to 3i's Board. He brings a wide range of financial experience directly relevant to our strategy for growing the business. John Allan

Following his recently announced appointment as a non-executive Director on the Board of the Home Office John Allan has indicated he will step down from the 3i Group plc Board with effect from 1st May 2011.

Sir Adrian Montague said: "I would like to thank John for his valuable contribution to 3i, and wish him every success for the future".

There are no other matters to disclose in accordance with paragraph 9.6.13R of the FSA's Listing Rules.
