Friends Provident Group plc ("Friends Provident") was advised on 14 October that Sir Adrian Montague, a director of the Company, purchased 1,335 ordinary shares of 5 pence each on 12 October 2009 at 83.48 pence per share under a dividend re-investment plan in respect of the interim dividend for the period ended 30 June 2009 which was paid on 9 October 2009. His total interest as at 12 October 2009 is 88,126 shares.
Also, Friends Provident was advised on 13 October 2009 that N Boakes had purchased 215 ordinary shares of 5 pence each on 9 October 2009 at a price of 83.3894 pence per share under the Friends Provident dividend re-investment plan. His total interest as at 9 October 2009 is 15,415.
In addition, Friends Provident has been advised that the following directors and persons discharging managerial responsibilities acquired ordinary shares of 5 pence each on 14 October 2009 under the Friends Provident Share Incentive Plan dividend re-investment plan as set out in the table below:
