6 February 2012 FirstGroup plc Transfer of shares held in treasury
FirstGroup plc ("the Company") announces that on 6 February 2012 it transferred to participants in the Company's employee SAYE scheme 403 ordinary shares for the early exercise of options of the SAYE 2009 scheme at a price of 310 pence per share. The shares were all formerly held as treasury shares.
Following the above transfer of shares out of treasury, the Company holds a total of 262,295 of its ordinary shares in treasury. The total number of ordinary shares in issue excluding treasury shares is 481,804,875.
