Costain Group PLC06 March 2006 Costain Group PLC ("Costain" or "the Company") Appointment of new Finance Director The Board of Costain is pleased to announce that Anthony Bickerstaff FCCA,currently Finance Director of Taylor Woodrow Construction Limited, will succeedCharles McCole as Finance Director of the Company at a date to be finalised, butexpected to be not later than June 2006. Mr Bickerstaff has been with the Taylor Woodrow group since 1982 and, inaddition to his current role, has held a number of senior management andfinancial positions across the group. Prior to becoming Finance Director, hewas Divisional Operations Director in charge of the group's PFI projects. He is also a non-executive Director of Construction Industry Publications Ltd, asubsidiary company of the Construction Confederation, specialising in books andpublications for the Construction Industry. Commenting on the appointment David Jefferies, the Chairman of Costain, said: "I am delighted to welcome Tony Bickerstaff to Costain. He has considerableexperience both in the industry and the finance arena.
