The college in Shandong Province, increased pre-tax income by 61 per cent to 51million Renmimbi (£3.5 million) on turnover up 61 per cent from 44 millionRenminbi to 71.6 Renminbi (£4.9 million). SIIT runs diplomas and undergraduate courses in foreign languages, computerscience, IT, international commerce and trade and hospitality and tourism. Itrecently announced the completion of the first phase of its expansion toincrease student numbers from 5,000 to 20,00 by 2007.
