Close Brothers Aim Vct PLC25 April 2008 CLOSE BROTHERS AIM VCT PLC SHARE PURCHASE, VOTING RIGHTS AND CAPITAL Close Brothers AIM VCT PLC announces that it has today purchased 23,486 Ordinaryshares at a price of 50.5 pence per share and 39,104 D shares at a price of 95.5pence per share. The Ordinary shares purchased represent 0.05% of the totalnumber of voting rights in the Company before the transaction and the D sharespurchased represent 0.09% of the total number of voting rights in the Companybefore the transaction. These shares will be held in treasury. Following this transaction, and, in conformity with the Transparency Directive'stransitional provision 6 we would like to notify the market of the following; Close Brothers AIM VCT PLC's capital today consists of 29,522,615 Ordinaryshares and 15,846,847 'D' shares, both with a nominal value of 50p each, withvoting rights. The Company holds 866,561 Ordinary shares in Treasury and 510,049'D' shares in Treasury. Therefore, the total number of voting rights in Close Brothers AIM VCT PLC is43,992,852. The figure of 43,992,852 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for thecalculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify theirinterest in, or change to their interest in Close Brothers AIM VCT PLC under theFSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
