Burren Energy PLC10 April 2007 Burren Energy plc (the "Company" or "Burren") Exercise of Options and sale of shares Burren announces pursuant to Rule 12.6.4 of the Listing Rules, that on the 4April 2007, it re-issued 642,406 ordinary shares, currently held as TreasuryShares, to participants in various Burren Share Schemes. The re-issue price was£7.82. In the course of this re-issue, certain directors and PDMRs of the company soldordinary shares in the company at an average price of 782p per share as follows: Name: No. of Ordinary Shares:Atul Gupta 102,968Finian O'Sullivan 94,283Andrew Rose 125,000Hywel John 91,852 The shares sold by Atul Gupta were issued to him following the exercise of anoption over 200,000 ordinary shares at an exercise price of $0.60 per share andthe call of an award for 29,859 shares issued to him on 30 March 2004 under theCompany's Annual Profit Sharing Scheme ("APSS"). The shares sold by FinianO'Sullivan were issued to him following the exercise of an option over 200,000ordinary shares at an exercise price of $0.60 per share and the call of an awardfor 13,772 shares issued to him on 30 March 2004 under the Company's APSS. Theshares sold by Hywel John were issued to him following the call of award for76,923 shares under the Performance Share Plan ("PSP") and a call for an awardfor 14,929 under the APSS. Andrew Rose sold 125,000 shares that were in his nameon the register.
