BLOOMSBURY ANNOUNCES ALLOTMENT OF SHARES
Bloomsbury Publishing Plc ("the Company") announces that it has today allotted 121,824 ordinary shares of 1.25p each in the Company (the "Allotted Shares") in part consideration by the Company for the acquisition of the entire share capital of Oxford International Publishing Limited trading as Berg Publishing, outlined in the Company's announcement on 24 September. These shares will rank pari passu in all respects with the existing issued ordinary share capital of the Company.
Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock Exchange for the Allotted Shares to be admitted to trading on the Official List. Admission is expected to become effective on 6 October 2008.
