Andrada Mining acquisition elevates the miner to emerging mid-tier status. Watch the video here.
Just to re iterate SirG's comment. At the KAT AGM we were left with the understanding that Tanesco have a ring fenced team working in an offsite location specifically bringing MCCP to fruition. And LC seemed too relaxed too, so I have the feeling that the PPA might be just round the corner Just my views and observations.
I am not sure what this meant "...Although the PPA has not been signed at the date of issue of the Annual Financial Statements! Is it so imminent that the PPA is expected so soon but not at the date when results released? That's my read of it!
results are all accounting mumbo jumbo which needed to be released. the biggie here is the PPA and also the other two power projects! plus the • Full environmental certification for both Mbeya Coal Mine as well as Mbeya Power Plant; A massive thing as it is coal powered plant,
really strong, pretty much back to the 2010 levels! https://www.ft.com/content/704554a2-6d51-11e8-92d3-6c13e5c92914?segmentId=786c7e0e-fcc5-282a-7c0e-74ecfe4825a7

SirG He wasn't that firm on it on Monday as last time I raised it with him. So who knows? If I were him and k ew this will do well and had a spare mln, I would have put 250k in kibo, at these prices. No one can accuse him buying cheap if it were to buy at discounted placing. And I believe the sp will fly very very fast if the BoD did that. Especially after PPA. That would just light the rocket!
masterinvestors He has been in town since Sunday. I met him at the KAT agm on Monday. I have the feeling that he might stay for a few more days. I expect the results soonish, so might release them and do a few investor events afterwards?
The momentum is nicely coming into KIBO and we should fly very soon! Annual results, agm and then Investor Event. Won't be surprised to have a PPA and directors buying thrown into the mix too!
bigboffer haha, you can criticize KIBO and KAT but we can't touch EDL, because could upset EDL investors. On EDL, I would suggest you read IEC's update from today. 50k (ie 10x more) coal sold in May and still not cashflow positive. As LC said many years ago, the killer for coal in Africa is transport costs!
Quite encouraging: https://am.afdb.org/en/press-releases/african-development-bank-and-korea-launch-korea-africa-energy-investment-facility Probably another reason when asked LC whether worries about financing, he seemed not bothered whatsoever!
