The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with multi-award-winning fund manager and international bestselling author Lee Freeman-Shor has just been released. Listen here.
Every purchase I have made on Echo is reported as a sell - I think due to it being through an ISA account...surprised the price hasn't ticked up given the pretty unsubtle tweets ... IMHO reading between the lines the tweets say (very) good results on work-overs and connection approved/on the way...
there's nowt so queer as folk...
yes please transfer me £20,000 fee to my off shore account and the numbers are yours - I also know a Prince in Gaborone who desperately needs to unlock his bank account of 30 millions squids..if you can only just send him £50,000 first he will send you fours times that amount...honest...
You mean like front-running or insider dealing.... leave that for the market makers and their buddies...us plebs have to take the pain
Yes I agree - definitely tends to suggest something good is coming...
True, may never happen ... never say never however...Not sure why moroccoknows you think that it is beyond reason to merge into a multinational company, particularly where the directorships are interlinked already.
If you are so sure of the answer, I dare you to ask the following at the next QnA: "Would Echo ever consider merging with Sound and/or Coro and are there any plans for this in the future?"
I admit this is slightly tinfoil hat time, but if you listen to Fiona's last Core Finance interview (at 13:40), she states she is please to bring the new CFO "into the group". Why not say "into the team/business/company/Echo". As I say, perhaps nothing in it, and the wait for the result is probably twisting my mind, but perhaps a little Freudian slip...
As an aside to all the speculating about when we will get the results...anyone like to bet against Echo, Coro, Sound eventually forming into a triumvirate and then a liquidity event? I say around mid 2021...
please don't keep to the private group (whatever that is)...I have found your input pretty helpful
If I post it here, it will just get deleted again - essentially just someone spreading FUD...
Seems like some comments got deleted here...as for bar room gossip ...believe none of what you hear and half of what you see
My guess is that perhaps it is borderline commercial and they are looking at ways to reduce the cost of the connection...just a wild guess however...
To all the, buy the rumour, sell the news gang I have heard a rumour that Echo will be massive. that ought to do it.... now just sit back and watch the buys roll in...
I can calculate the motions of heavenly bodies, but not the madness of people...
Yes, but from looking at this forum, there is a perception (not saying it aligns with reality) that the deal was not done; I think because there was some suggestion that they had until the end of Jan. As perception is sometimes more important than reality, it may go someway to explaining the decline in price. Could just be cryptofever drawing away likely investors...
I don't think that has been made clear, from looking on here, I think the perception may be that it was not a finally settled agreement and had the potential to fall through and/or had issues to iron out. As it is an important fact, perhaps it ought to be clarified in an RNS rather than just on here....NY (or anyone who has contact) want to give them a nudge to do so...?
No problem, i think the demographic they are targeting is a good one, and they seem to have good media connections, they do however need to get a handle on their google presence given the depth of competition.
Of course if you google their name they will come up - you need to search for women's fashion or women's clothing etc.
If you are an online business, your ranking in google is of course key to your success.
Sosander are nowhere to be seen on relevant keyword searches for woman's clothes/fashion...given they are an online fashion store, seems a pretty big omission. Once/if they sort this out will consider a position here...
