"Goodbye Stock Market, we'll do things our way now"!
Trying to figure out what the minimum share price valuation would need to be.
439 posts and I try to read them, I really do. It's simply overwhelming when there is no substantial news for NCYT at this point. I like the thought that there may be a pattern to RNS releases from NCYT.
I suppose the terms 'dreamer' and 'investor' aren't mutually exclusive.
Fascinating blog from Dominic Minghella who has recovered from a serious bout of Covid-19. His lasting impression is that the tests don't work. I think more accurately, many of the tests don't work. Novacyt's do.

Keep looking at the fundamentals on DDDD and can't really work it out as a normal investment proposition: these are not normal times.
They have cash enough, share performance has been well below sector average for maybe three years now, directors have been making significant purchases recently.
If all it did was return to the SP of six months ago, that would put it over 100p.
I must be missing something here. What is it?
Spot on. I'd gladly buy an accurate antibody test for all of my family, if it means we can get together again for a while.
Urraca that is an excellent appraisal of the situation, perhaps because I think you're right! Anyone who listened to the Bill Gates interview on BBC last week will agree that in future, the world be better prepared and put far more money into R&D of potential pandemics. The fact that British Govt is doing this now bodes well on so many levels. Thanks.
Only if you've got four shares.
Common sense tells us that he is painfully right on that. If most of us are to get back to a life outside our homes, we need either (a) a vaccine or (b) regular testing. Even regular testing won't give the vulnerable who have NOT had the virus their freedom. Won't it be great to be told "you've had it already", provided we can't be reinfected. That's a big 'provided' for now.
For anyone trying to day-trade pharmas, this share is surely one of the must-haves.
Yachty it's not just this one share on AJB - I've been finding it very difficult to trade, sometimes impossible. AJ Bell seems to struggle to cope with increased volumes and sometimes it simply cannot place a trade, even if I try to 'sell' or 'buy' just 100 shares (say) as a test.
AJ Bell's instability as a trading platform wouldn't usually be much of an issue but at times when share prices for some of the pharmas can go up by 10% in seconds, it's really crucial.
I wonder if it's a problem on other platforms, in particular HL.
Weak but 40% up
Valuefinder thanks. I was mainly in cash earlier this year (not due to COVID-19 but due to Brexit) and have only recently started to feed back in, probably too diverse already but happy to accept lower returns as a trade-off for not losing if the Index drops again once we all realise just how bad a hit the economy will continue to take.
Gilead make Remdesivir, mentioned by Bill Gates during his BBC interview yesterday. If I understood him correctly, he is already moving to fund the most promising ten therapeutic solutions ahead of a vaccine (faster), presumably through the Bill and Miranda Gates Foundation. The world will (or should) thank Bill Gates later.
Certainly you are right about getting out of most pharmas at the right time which may be sooner for some than for others. I also think that 'things are seldom either as good or as bad as they seem'.
Thanks again, appreciate the response.
