My hl account shows they still suspended but my app to monitor all my shares shows an increase.in any case they are untraceable at the mo
The creditors are in after red kite asked for their money back. There is some good info on tomwinnifrith.com on his advfn blog.
What are their cost per ounce now?
Issuing new shares will not raise the share price..... Solid results will. We need this mine to start turning out gold again
I agree the company has problems but my hunch is the new management are putting that behind them and a return to getting the gold out and the osts down is the aim for the next years figures. Hope so anyway!!!
Anyone read anything on how much gold ngl likely to produce? Surely if the previous problems are over these are at a discount to nav
Iberia pilots union a nnounce another 30 days of strikes. Quite simply the board want to slash crew term s and conditions by starting a low cost airline to carry out work previously carried out my Iberia . It's already happened at qantas with their jet star outfit and it's happened at ba with the new cabin crew on vast Y inferior terms working much harder for less pay. It's also happened at uk call centers with their work being farmed out ti India only for customer backlash and now one bank even says in their advert their call centre is in uk. If Willie Walsh was prepared to cut his package in half, he might have credence but cutting salaries in half will simply not double the share price, a rise in revenue rather than a cut in cost should be the direction the board takes
I do not think iag could raise the money to buy aa. Foreign ownership rules in the us could limit an interest to 49 per cent I suppose but then , would aa be able to continue in chapter 11 bankruptcy which is highly advantageous to it at the mo. Interesting if this is true as Willie Walsh does say he has a shopping list. Effectively iag could buyout all of one world to have worldwide strategic control but i am still not buying this stock.
Of course Branson objects but the reality is virgin have no money in the bank. Why the EU is against the tie up is a mystery as ba will have less as a percentage of total slots after a bmi takeover than rival eu flag carriers. So mr Williams , CEO , you cannot expand and we the uk government want more apd off you , and oil will likely go up. I sold at a loss on these and cannot see them recovering quickly. Iberia are nowhere near as productive as ba, yet they enjoy higher salaries for working less. This is all part of the mix that affects the iag sp
For ba to convert bmi slots to long haul slots, firstly the bmi aircraft has to stop using the slot, and secondly a long haul aircraft has to use it. It's muted bmi aircraft will be moved to gatwick to vacate lhr slots as new aircraft arrive next year. A380 and b787 are due to arrive from apr 2013 but 787 delivery could slip due to problems on the production line with a backlog of dream liners waiting for internal fit out . 380 wing problems just been discovered fleet wide in operator airlines. Throw in oil at 200 a barrel due to Iranian problems and it makes 747400 very expensive to operate. If oil goes above a certain threshold it makes buying more 777 aircraft economically viable but there is a long lead in time and oil needs to stay above that threshold. I solfd mine at a loss and can only see difficulties here. The recent drop after what are generally good results show mr market was expecting more
Are you aware why this share price has crashed? It's through chronic mis management, staff shortages, flooding, pit closure, the list goes on. Nothing to do with the time of the year. A contractor has been appointed and hopefully 100000 oz production will return and then the price may rise. Suggest you YouTube T1ps for some background info
Don't see a rise hear until confirmation of better results or a buy out . Better results has to see more control of costs as ngl are paying far too much to pull an ounce out of the ground. There is also scarce news on how reaching hard ore is going tp contribute to profitability. On top of that there seem to be labour issues hence the desire to subcontract work. All in all things look bad but problems can be overcome. I am holding and in a few years time I hope I will be glad I did!!! Don't see any director buys at the mo but maybe they are precluded?
We are still in the dark here. Asx rules aside, if the shares can still trade on aim surely another RNs is warranted?
How many days have Iberia been on strike for? An airline with planes on the ground isn't making money. Income minus cost equals profit and I see little effort being put into raising income , only cost cutting going on with lower salaries for cabin crew which will eventually lead to discontent. Iberia will fight to protect their t and c ****ting profit. I am afraid I am selling here at a loss having expected good things but slot transfers to BA from bmi at lhr cannot happen simply because BA has no spare long haul aircraft until 2013
Yes I am thinking of getting some but wanted to see what production figures are talked about. They seem to have manpower problems and their costs to produce an ounce seem to have gone through the roof. Also haunt seen any directors buying yet
