Listen to our latest Investing Matters Podcast episode 'Uncovering opportunities with investment trusts' with The AIC's Richard Stone here.
Hi Genghis.
There is always the possibility of a placing at some stage as you know. What I would say is MKA have always been ultra cautious and are on record as saying they will look for JV's to advance any projects in the pipeline.
There have been plenty of comments over the years re lack of PR here but I kind of like it that way. They don't need to artificially bump the SP to get a placing away.
All the facts are out there and I'm sure you'll find everything you need to know.
I've been invested pre Talaxis and was never looking for a quick return but I realise that style of investing is not everyone's cup of tea. Maybe it's an age thing!
Good luck whatever you decide
I'm going to remain an eternal optimist and hope that news is out tonight before the AGM.
KS said 'a couple of weeks' at the Africa down under bash and would surely have had a good idea by then of any delays impacting release of news.
Here's hoping anyway
Hi Doc. I think MM said in one of his recent interviews that A4 may be worth 2 Billion initially but clearly it could grow from there. Will be nice to get a 'base' valuation as this will be just the start. As other deposits are drilled and added it could start getting very tasty if you have the patience to wait. This is all going to take some time to prove up as it's a massive area.
Hopefully the SFR release will give us some timeframes with regards to construction of the mining hub, although I know long lead items were already out to tender.
Quite happy to remain patient but it will be nice to see some tangible progress in terms of SP
Sorry gymboy but that is incorrect.
A mineral resource estimate is not given when drilling is finished. There can be several MRE's as exploration continues. The first MRE is often referred to as a Maiden resource estimate, simply because it's the first. There can and probably will be a second, and maybe a third MRE before the PFS.
I know it may be a bit left-field but;
Newcrest drill all year round
Newcrest take an equity stake in Greatland
Newcrest provide us with the ability to drill whenever the hell we want
Hence no immediate rush to get on to our next targets.
Can't help but think that something is in the offing but of course I may just be suffering from lockdown syndrome and my poor brain is seeking an escape
It looks to me as if they have a plan at some stage in the near future.
My guess would be that Newcrest will take a stake and, if so, the premium to current SP will be interesting.
Plenty of potential options (it might not even be Newcrest), but it would give GH a strong hand to negotiate with.
Probably miles off but that is a fair chunk of the company he's asking to play with.
God, I love this share
Hi AT
Interesting but not sure yet that this has anything to do with Amur.
It would be odd to be building infrastructure relating to KM prior to DFS. Who's funding it? Where is the license exactly in relation to KM? What's it for? Maybe road related? Who knows?
I'm sure all will become clear in the fullness of time but for now it's just speculation.
Next few weeks should be interesting at least
First results may have been expected after 6-8 weeks but GH certainly didn't say they'd be released as they came in.
I think i'd rather have some meat on the bone rather than a drip drip of individual results.
More than happy to wait until they're ready, however long it takes
I bloody hope so mate, although a dividend yield of almost 6% may also have attracted some buyers in these strange times.
I'd be more than happy with the testing rumour being positive though.
Not long now (although I've been thinking that for a number of years!)
Indicated Mineral Resource
The term "Indicated Mineral Resource" refers to that part of a Mineral Resource for which quantity, grade or quality, densities, shape and physical characteristics can be estimated with a level of confidence sufficient to allow the appropriate application of technical and economic parameters, to support mine planning and evaluation of the economic viability of the deposit. The estimate is based on detailed and reliable exploration and testing information gathered through appropriate techniques from locations such as outcrops, trenches, pits, workings and drill holes that are spaced closely enough for geological and grade continuity to be reasonably assumed.
Hi tigg - I believe it's the 'spacing' that is the reason for inferred at the moment. A lot more drilling required to move to indicated. I know of another project that has drilled a 50 x 50 grid for their inferred MRE but is now drilling a 25 x 25 grid to infill and move to indicted. Its all about the gaps!!
