Listen to our latest Investing Matters Podcast episode 'Uncovering opportunities with investment trusts' with The AIC's Richard Stone here.
I didn't but this is an excuse. If people were interested they would find sellers, thus generating a self propelling higher sp. There is no volume worth talking about because there's little interest. Why? Even paltry buys now by the directors after the results may generate some interest...
After all these years of waiting, what's worse than poor results, reasonable results and total indifference by investors. Nothing from the high profile analyst visit? The main board is either being ignored or their reputations are beyond repair. Time for a change............
Lead balloon time! Maybe its further to the analyst visit. Anybody got any update on that-apart from the presentation. Did a bit of analysis from 8-2-18 back to 9-2-17and tried to be as accurate and fair as poss: In the past 12 months.. ILU - up 37% Tronox - up 35% Rio - up 5% Base - up 6% KMR - down 18% Most major miners beyond titania minerals have shown considerable increases in that period In the titania minerals business there is no end of news about rising prices over the past 18-24 months which has accelerated recently. In some i.e zircon, there is potential for a shortage developing. Acc to their presentation in Mozambique KMR are well positioned for ilmenite sales to China in 2018 with decent tonnages KMR have reduced their debt considerably. KMR have reduced their cost per mt considerably. All product prices are expected to increase in 2018. WTF are the main board doing presiding over a share slide like this? Even if they spent some of their undeserved huge salaries on buying shares, it would at least show some willing.. Don't want to hear 'jam tomorrow' or patience, some sort of meaningful explanation would be preferable.
Gents, every Tom Dick and Harry was calling this rout for the past month. Bull run record etc etc. Even I posted that I had difficulty understanding the increases in DoW and Dax in comparison to FT recently. Be as it may ,all the bs and bo..ox in the world doesn't explain as to how poorly KMR has done in the past 12 months on a significantly rising market. And that has to do with the contacts, influence and plausibility of the KMR main board. Jam tomorrow is unacceptable and failing in this market......

Show me another mining company well beyond development with a '100 year resource' on a rising market that has performed as badly as this. I cant see one. All the 'jam tomorrow' bo..ox for shareholders is getting tedious when Mikey et all get jam every day. I wouldn't mind so much if any of them relocated out there (even for a short time) and oversaw operations where at least there was a decent commitment from them. But sitting at home presumably viewing things through Facetime or webcams whilst supping a Guinness is all far too comfortable.
Good for you Rich. In the past 12 months PFP Pathfinder who haven't produced 1mt of heavy minerals yet in Mozambique are up 55%, yet KMR with the biggest producing ilmenite mine in the world is down 16%. Which boat would you rather be on?
