Affimer proteins are versatile and renewable affinity reagents........www.e-l-i-f-e-s-c-i-e-n-c-e-s.org
This appears to be an excellent primer (quite long article) on affirmer technology....written for the layman. Apologies if it's a re-post.

The portfolio cornerstone, the mighty

AffiDX is one of the most accurate LFTs worldwide (equally effective at detecting Delta). Calibre are receiving orders from SMEs; #AVCT and
@medusa19_
are working on the mega orders.
@avacta
and
@mologic
have both been shunned by
@PHE_uk
, due to Porton Down’s ridiculous testing methods. On paper - factually - both of these companies’ tests are not just superior, but in a whole different league to the LFTs that HMG are buying from Innova and Orient Gene. 2/5
@PHE_uk
@JimBethell

The ineptitude at the heart of UK Gov’s #COVID19 testing policy in the UK has been extraordinary.
Nevertheless, for fellow

#AVCT shareholders, it’s immaterial for now. All eyes on the much larger EU market, and potentially further afield - where quality does matter. 4/5
here’s also the small matter of the first patients for AVA6000 being dosed very shortly.
Mgmt reiterated in recent presso that preliminary data could be out pre-year end.
I imagine many eyes in the world of oncology - and biotech investing! - will be on this trial.
#AVCT 5/5
CEO's of publicly listed companies do not generally go out of their way to invoke legal proceedings from Government. Privately owned businesses (Mologic) is another matter. In any case, I'm not sure Avacta would be able to produce enough for Home Use...with currently planned production capacity. In his BU of the 21st June AS said " It will take us a couple of months from now to ramp up to 5 million a month"
Mid August could be interesting.
