Dear SUFCESSEX you know you are loved.
Yes I really hope you survive. I remember you giving us a beating or two down there. Very sad to see you in the National League.
67Sam, thanks for you erudite perambulations into the hitherto complex machinations of all that is LLOYds. This is what happens when people like you run out of glue.
Oh and Gate13Boy, what gloom and despair ? What have I missed ? Longterminvestor found a tall building has he ?
SUFCESSEX
You really are a prize numpty - the FTSE at 8000 and Lloyds at 55p ? Hardly reason to celebrate. One might come to expect Lloyds to be over 80p given the FTSE at record levels.
What's your average again ? Hovering at 63p last I heard ? Hardly in a position to stop the Shrimpers going under are you ? Get a grip man.
My Lord, The right Honourable Perpendicular is indulging in sarcasm, might we suggest he partakes in a chocolate digestive and warm milk ?
''How does it end if.... '' A race to the top never ends well Perpendicular, sooner or later the money runs out.
Gateboy13 I would indeed like to list your embarrassing problems, not least because I don't like to see a grown man reduced to a quivering wreck. Unfortunately LSE are beating me to it and keep deleting your posts before I have chance to list them...…
Make sure you wear a bib with that vino.
Gate13Boy, you are embarrassing yourself, and not for the first time I might add. The perpendicular one has stated in a previous missive that he would not sell below a pound. Now of course he is entitled to change his mind after all his master, Bumbling Boris, does it all the time, even to the extent that he sometimes tells the truth. But given that at every turn he likes to challenge the rhetoric of others I only thought it civil, to bring his latest perambulation to the attention of others. Still you are a game sort and on that basis I will give you a C+ for effort.
Tell me, what is it about the element of control you are hoping to exact ? Foreign powers, bureaucrats, taking back control. I doubt if you are able to control your bowel movements most of the time.
Almost eight thousand posts and our country is still in a state of paralysis. What are you playing at ? In all honesty I expected better from a man of your advanced years.
Dear Richard36 etc, our we to believe that Romans and their uncontrolled immigration are responsible for our roads ? Perhaps they brought the potholes with them. Before the Poles, were there not shortages, blackouts, budget cuts ? Did the Indian subcontinent close down the NHS with their numbers. The last time I went into hospital most of the wonderful doctors, nurses, porters and cleaners were from that part of the world. Perhaps Oscar Wilde and the Irish lot are to blame.
I know what, why don't we just blame Ghandi.
Jimbo1122 if as you say the 'Markist Corbyn' is going to make you a 'little bit richer' am I and millions of others that, as you know, frequent this board on a regular basis, to believe that you are a man of principle. In short should Corbyn make you a few bob tomorrow, will you be relinquishing your new found wealth on a matter of principle ? Or do your political leanings stretch only as far as your wallet will allow ?
LTI, I didn't know that was you riding the black horse. I thought it was Mr Pickwick.
I am happy that you are indeed enjoying yourself in any way you seem able, but others less charitable than myself may wish to report you to the RSPCA.
Thanks in advance.
Dear good to go, that is what the Sage of Southend, our very own SUFCESSEX has been telling us....you aren't him are you ? He sees everything, only what he forgot to tell us is that we would also see 49p. I do not know why he didn't see that, but he tells us that 80p is coming too, sometime after his friend £1 has been and gone.
I do not think that eighty five feet is tall enough, and of course it would be rude to ask the Sage himself, but I for one believe in him, and I will not jump unless proved otherwise.
Dear SUFCESSEX you will be glad to know I have found a bed for the night, after convincing some unsuspecting soul that I am soon to become rich when my friend SUFCESSEX latest missive comes true. Give me something to hang onto man, and preferably something without a noose on it. £1 you now say, here we go again. Are you joking or are you serious this time ? Should I sell the cardboard box and buy some more Lloyds.
On the subject of AHO, is this the man that got it so wrong on PPI ? Yes yes yes I know we all wheel out that one when it suits us, but the fact is he got that one spectacularly wrong - perhaps on purpose.
If AHO assures that we are doing ok as you put it, I for one will not sleep very well for the foreseeable future. And that has nothing to do with the busty landlady who insists on duffing up my pillows at three in the morning.
''Heading back into the 60's this week''
Knowing you to be The Sage of Southend I sold everything I had and placed it all on Lloyds. Now I don't wish to alarm you, but this cardboard box and a can of guinness along with the tranquilisers is all i possess. Personally I don't touch the spice, or at least I haven't since you told me that the roaring sixties are coming back on Friday at the latest.
I know you tend to go missing in action when your predictions don't quite hit the target, but you might like to try a different barn door.
And pray LTI how do we get rid of twenty million assuming we are in your own words not going to ''eliminate'' them ? Throwing a few EU nationals into the River Thames might temper your insatiable appetite for 1949 but I am sure you are not serious ( you're not are you ? )
Most of our immigration is from outside the EU. If you want to reduce immigration, perhaps you should address your laser like focus in that direction going forward instead of looking back at what you cannot change.
