Chaps - I often enjoy a peak at your selections. I’m fancying taking my nipper to the races on Friday. Newbury or Cheltenham would be easiest for me. Which one would you recommend? Fields look quite big overall. Any advice welcome (especially if it includes a winner :-) )
Lefkosia - always interested in reading others systems and trials. Have tried a few on paper myself but they normally prove fruitless in the end. If you had huge balls and a bookie willing to take big bets then doing the dreaded doubling up on every sds ride seems to continually make good profits. You would have to continue the doubling up over days though and also be watching every race. I'm sure though that if I actually did it for real he would go 100 rides without a winner! Lol
Harry - the 705 tip was top drawer. Didn't do it unfortunately but hats off to you.
Harry - good shout on harri at Newton Abbot in the week. Was there and backed it. Won nicely considering it jumped to the side alot.
Christ - I hope he didn't make it to pontefract! The poor bugger will be broke tonight
Thanks for reply. So I assume you back at every meeting then stop at each meeting as and when you reach your target but carry on at the other meetings. On average would one bad card like stratford today wipe out all of your winnings from the other meetings? An interesting system if you have patience and time
So are you doubling your stake after each losing bet?
Is the system being discussed the one where you progressively increase your stake until you get a winner?
farmerparmer - thanks for your feedback, was looking at the ig platform. With regards to the two small plays you just mentioned, do you use a guaranteed stop on them or in theory risk the lot? The aimers are a bloody minefield these days - but good swings nevertheless.
Thanks for that. Only normally trade conventionally but am thinking of having a go at this. Would only start small till i understand it better and would want a stop in place as i want it kept separate to other fundings. What would be the rough workings of being prepared to lose 1k on a share like say chariot at 20p and how long could the position be open for if not stopped out? Just mulling over.
Can I ask what platform you find best for spread betting? Also are the stops that you can put in 100% guaranteed? Thanks for opinions
That is a very unhealthy situation you have just pointed out. If that board gets manipulated by the site administrators then it throws the whole integrity of this website into doubt. Hopefully admin will respond to your concerns before people shy away to advfn and interactive investor etc.
Agreed. It's meaningless.
Admin - Have you any update regarding following ii's lead in showing who has actually recommended posts? It certainly assisted them in their endeavours to cut out multi posting.
Delt - Can you have a look at a company that is listing early march called Papua Mining and give me your thoughts please. They have a website online now.
ADMIN - I will take that as a no then! lol I guess if you took out all the multiple posters there would only be a handful of us left!
Is there any way you could follow a lead set by the interactive investor board whereby it is possible to see who has actually recommended posts. It seems to me these boards are getting very devalued lately by people creating multiple id's and there must be a strong likelihood that people can use these to in effect recommend their own posts and thus illegally ramp and deramp shares.
