The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with multi-award-winning fund manager and international bestselling author Lee Freeman-Shor has just been released. Listen here.
Oranolio1.... I think you have got to be right with that theory.
Synairgen are doing everything the right way, as quickly as they can. Look at the other drug companies that haven't, and are failing... in part due to the trial set up.
Furthermore, Covid, very sadly, is not going anywhere soon.... though I'd love to be proved wrong... we are going to be living with this until 2022, probably longer. It's a great shame that our government seem fixated by a vaccine, that, in my opinion, is not the fix all they are promoting it to be, whilst knowing full well that it isn't. They were quick with Dex.... but its super cheap. I suspect the cost of Synairgen is not an irrelevance to them.
We are already in a recession.... with Synairgen's help we may just escape a depression.
I hope.
Splatted.... Taiwan is a whole different story... When you land in Taiwan you are tested at the airport, you then wait 11 hours in a waiting room for the result, if positive you go straight to hospital, where you stay until you test negative, no matter if ill or well.... if you test negative at the airport you have to go straight home, wearing a wrist tag, to isolate for 2 weeks, you are only able to leave home after the tag is removed. Can you imagine the UK obeying that?!
Zwartkops could easily have bought at 202, I was offered 202 and 199 by HL to buy, when asking was at 200. They bought it down by lowering the buying price as well as the selling price.... clever.
Anyway.... back up now, and all good.. for those that didn't sell I mean!
ShareSting.... done, but you might want to repost with this paragraph below, as it doesn't say what it's for on your post otherwise.
Government need to accelerate approval for Covid19 Drugs , like SNG001.
Government need to increase their focus on drugs that have proven effective against Covid19 and ensure they are made available to hospitals around the UK. SNG001 has a 79% effective rate, it is interferon beta based and global research shows it is highly effective against Coronavirus.
Indeed cjulien... I don't recall RM mentioning an £8 billion post approval valuation either. Don't think it's something I would've missed, and doesn't sound like RM to have said it.... but I'd be delighted to be proved wrong.
£9.90 sound pretty bloody good to me anyway!
Yet again... many, many thanks for all the informative posts here, too many people to name (I'm beginning to sound like a BAFTA acceptance speech, so I'll stop there)...
I have been here since the 32p days of March, but definitely wouldn't be without all of your support and research posted here.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I agree cjulien.... this board has kept me occupied since March, all through lockdown... I will miss it when we've all made zillions and leave.... it would be a shame not to meet everyone.... but then again, sometimes the fantasy is better than the reality.... and there's also a few on here that sound a little bit terrifying!
CapitalCity.... I agree with your Venrock theory too, though I had thought the reason was that they were in cahoots with a US Pharma, who needed to keep the SP down to reduce the T/O price... assuming the price would be based on a multiple of closing SP over a period of time.
Probably a bit far fetched?!
Trek... I think that is all very reasonable thinking.
It is a shame that Han**** is such a Moron, and the government are proving to be so out of their league in dealing with this in every conceivable way... also that they have not fully supported a UK company..... Synairgen.
It only goes to show quite how hard RM and his team have had to work, and what an uphill battle this has been for them.
My question to those far more qualified than me on here is "Is Regeneron a better and CHEAPER alternative therapeutic than Synairgen?". From what I have read, it isn't, but am I missing something?
I realise the world will need many therapeutics to deal with this virus, that there is room for lots of us.... and some people may react better to one than another, depending on our age, genetic make up, other issues etc..... but it would be annoying if the government decided to support Regeneron over SNG.... but if they did, I'd really like to know why... would it be cost alone... or does Regeneron have better stats that we do?
Goose69.... Ha! Luckily I don't have a husband to account to (or to stab me!)... but my daughter keeps looking over my shoulder at the red line going downwards and says "Mum, that doesn't look good".... I just answer "no, not good today, but it'll be fine".... and then close the computer, jump up and change the subject!
Bunsenburner123..... Ha.... sorry, not £100k loss TODAY, but since the peak of £2.50.... ! Been in since March 32p... then bought on the way up to 75p....down to 32p.... up to £2.38.... down to £1.39 ..... Someone please teach me how to sell!!
Great post invoking.... I agree, there is definitely a big seller/s... and they've taken down a few less researched PI's with them, sadly. But they can only sell their shares once.... the longer this goes on, the bigger the bounce.
I confess to feeling a little bit sick today (lost £100k of paper profits)... similar feeling to early July and I was badly in the red then.... but I don't think there's much longer to go.
Promised myself not to look at the SP this afternoon.... of course I failed!
