Docdaneeka... I agree... MP's a waste of time.
If any one has any journalists/press as friends.... IMO that is the route. Journalists love to be given an angle to write about, they can't keep coming up with stories on their own, and most of them are quite lazy... so presenting them with a 'scandal' to write about would be doing them a favour. Look how interested and outraged we all were in the Remdesivir article posted here today.
Sadly I only know sports journo's... but if any of you know financial, health or pharma journo's it's worth a go.
WelshFalcon.... great post from Sunny Wales..... I am in very rainy London.
My Aunts private doctor and good friend is an advisor to the government ..... I made her ask him about Synairgen, and he was surprising FULLY aware of SNG, and all it's data, when she asked if she could get some he forwarded her a link to the Home Trial.
It is so frustrating to all of us on here that this can not sped-up, but, IMO, I don't think the government can push through approvals until at least midway through Phase 3. The Phase 2 showed unbelievable promise, but it was just too small.
Having said all that, I have just forwarded her Dafad's link to the 'very-very-bad-remdesivir' article... and asked her to forward. Big Pharma is so corrupt.
CR1909... Ha! Yes, I'll remember how happy she was, that picture of her in bed is firmly imprinted... having said that I am only sitting on a paper profit, but I'm convinced that this is the kind of opportunity that will probably never happen to me again.
After reading the Numis full report, giving a downside of 67p if all completely fails, and an upside of £51, I feel that the risk vs reward is definitely a risk worth taking. So I'm in this until the end!
CR1909.... to be honest, I've never witnessed a rise quite like it... it was so fast I was too stunned to know what to do.... so I did nothing but watch.. then woke my daughter up to celebrate!
It was a life changing amount for us.
Hi CR1909..... Yes, Jakman59's analysis is quite accurate.... there were no leaks, I was sitting on a painful loss of about £20k, feeling like a bit of a loser. The share price dropped relentlessly, every day... very nearly sold, we went below the placing price of 35p, to 32p even on the Thursday before... then on the Friday is started to rise, but only to 36p.... then Monday... BANG..... a very exciting day!
Volatility.... spot on, totally agree with your post, and thanks Sparkle.... I have been eyeing up a few shares today to jump into tomorrow.
I think Eva has confused her millions with billions, but I have no doubt she has £500,000 in this... there are plenty of people on this board, and reading it that have many £100,000's in it too..... some even before manic monday.
Bubblegum..... there's no guarantee of that of course.... but there is a hope that the more it mutates the less deadly it gets.... no consolation to the 58 people last week, that were so ill they had to be admitted though.
Just back from playing a match against a couple of trainee doctors who work in A&E in a SW London Hospital, who said that they had noticed a huge increase of Covid Admissions in the last week at A&E. They were down to 2 people after the last wave, and are now up to 60, 58 being admitted in the last 10 days. I asked if they were at full capacity, to which she replied "we weren't on Thursday, but I wouldn't be surprised if we are by next week"
Interesting she said that apart from a high temperature which remains the case, other symptoms had really changed.... in the last wave it was mostly dry coughs, but now it is severe headache & extreme fatigue. She and her team believe that this was down to the virus mutating, and said that that was bad news for the Vaccine.
She too was not overly confident about taking the vaccine herself... though still in her 20's.
I suspect we will hear more stories like this in the press over the next few weeks.
Eva..... I found myself today getting stressed on your behalf, missing out for the sake of 3p per share!
But maybe you thrive on stress?!
Good luck with your date... I must start doing the same (too obsessed with SNG to get out much!).
I agree with you Eva.... he said partner quite a few times in the interview, implying a J/V, not a T/O... he's been in this too long to say goodbye completely.... but it's such a small company, they need a big partner.
I hope you get your 175.... you're getting close... but don't miss out for a few pennies... that would be a shame. I suspect there are some heavyweights with priority, wanting to buy in at that price too!
Robertsmith.... actually of the 50 people that took SNG in the Phase II, nobody died, compared to the 3 people that died from the placebo group. So it is entirely possible that all 241 people could've been saved.
Hi Skyumpie
I will be taking up the offer, and more if allowed. Family/friends all doing the same... it won't drop to 175 .... (sorry Eva!).
Richard Marsden is super confident (he hasn't sold any)... and I'm sure he'll have passed that confidence onto the LTH's whom he was regularly in touch with in the old days. They'll all be buying too, and some!
B2HS2L - This was debated a few months back on this board, and an 'expert' was adamant that Synairgen would not come under this protective umbrella....... that this was aimed at PPE and Vaccines.
I am with pjmh in believing this is US bound.
CityTTrader
I believe this this Vaccine is 2 injections, a month apart, with the second injection giving you a very high temperature. It's not ideal, but believed, in the medical community, to be the best option of a vaccine to date.
We will not get enough people vaccinated to stop this before 2022 IMO.... we have and always will need treatments. We need both.
