RK, I repeat my question. Does Solgold have the authority to do a share buy back?
RK, does Solgold have approval to do share buybacks?
Morning Culpepper. Ggp will definitely be putting some hedging in place, as that not only makes commercial sense, but will be a requirement of the lending banks. Shaun has extensive knowledge of all the options open to him. I am sure it will be material to ggp and so will be released through an RNS. Doubt that NC will need to say anything but unless you are a shareholder in NC, we don’t care what they do.
'funding is now easier than before'.
Now there is a man with his finger on the financial pulse of the markets. Recession looming, rates rising, banks withdrawing credit, money supply collapsing. Yep its so much easier to get funding.......
Absolutely clueless.....
JB, it’s slowly getting out there. Article last week by the editor of FT.
If you read Alistair McCleod and Tim Marshall and London Paul then you add in what’s going on with China and the Middle East and Putin with China and India then it becomes crystal clear.
Zoltan is forcing the experts to take note. Don’t expect to see it on cnbc or the bbc though. Their agenda is strictly their own and if they knew it, run by Keynesian orthodoxy. When it’s reported by them it will far too late to help those who have a typical portfolio mix.
For those who are more interested in the bigger picture, I would also recommend The Sirius Report on twitter and their occasional podcast. Plus a brilliant interview with Andrew Maguire and London Paul (of the Sirius report) on the Kinesis Money podcast from mid December.
The world is changing and this will affect the sp a lot more than whether the decline is advancing at 8.5m per day or 9m….IMO. (Very) exciting times.
I am really not that bothered about what mms do, who is shorting etc, which instos are buying blah blah.
I am far more interested in the super big picture. Imo some of really really need to get your heads around the super big changes going on all around us. Petroyuan, global south, Tim Marshall, Zoltan Poszar, China’s gold buying, US debt etc etc all point the way to the future. Ggp and others will be the beneficiaries, and so, if you really understand how the future is unfolding, will you.
Morning Speedy. I see China bought another 30t in December. Good way to get rid of some dollars.
Colonel. See the tweet by Willem Middelkoop.
The biggest missed timelines are for the FS, DTM and first ore. These have been missed by many years. A few funding rounds have been missed by months/years too.
My dear Tig, so sorry to hear your news. You couldn’t have done more for Susy. My thoughts are with you at this very painful time.
I have never met a Chairman who didnt think it a good idea for all directors to have other directorships. Virtually all CEOs do. its just good practice and an opportunity to see how things are done elsewhere. Its not onerous but it is important.
IMO its a lot more likely than the SD 'jumping ship' nonsense.
Just thought I would change the narrative.......
Add it’s quite possible that not much will happen until a permanent ceo is appointed. Given the search is only just starting it’s clear to me he was fired. NC are not liked in the Australian financial community for various different reasons. SB was the same.
I have heard one view that the company will be broken up. NC has a serious negative cash flow problem for next five years. So if bod wanted to address that then the Solgold stake could be sold relatively easily, soon. For the past couple of years I have not seen NC as anything other than a seller of its stake. Probably to bhp then. but now to first person who offers a reasonable price.
Q, you asked why would Solgold do the Osisko deal if there was to be a sale. Maybe because Osisko are part of the sale solution? Just a thought.
As to the concept non-dilutive funding. All funding is dilutive one way or another.
I see another of their traders has been found guilty of spoofing the gold and silver markets.
I suppose the question is: are JPM really unlucky by hiring all these criminals or are all these convicted traders really nice chaps until they join JPM?
I think I know what my good friend Speedy will say.....
I will leave with you with one fact about the sp movements. If you take out the amateurish way in which VanEck bought about 270m shares and the effect that had on the sp, the movement of GGP has followed most of the junior sector, up and down. There are so many really interesting things to learn about this JV, but as I say, thats for another board.
I am ambivalent about JVs, they suit some and not others. They wouldnt suit Solgold cos its management is totally useless!
RK its only when you stray into an area where I clearly know far more about the subject than you do, when I wonder whether old Tel aint so smart after all.
GGP and Solgold are at all similar and it does you no favours to suggest it is.
But as this board is about Solgold I will leave it there and let you continue with your distorted narrative...
Is tonight not being broadcast? First one I have missed….
At least my food will be better….
