HNS,
It can really only be measured against a "normal" year.
That was the projection measures used by Cineworld and there is no debating Jan and February (and most other months) to date have been well behind what company needs.
October and December being the obvious exceptions to that as they had the product and subsequently very good attendance levels.
All too often too many of us here seem to kid ourselves on regards recovery to date.
Company has provided the % by month and we know they were targeting c. 90% by Q4 of last year and obviously then ongoing.
Q1 of 2022 is going to be VERY poor, BUT I have optimism for Q2 onwards.
Neither article really offers anything we didn't already know.
Let's start petition to Hollywood Robin we need you back alongside Batman.
Duo always better than a solo ;-)
Indeed Robin there have been and will again be good days for all :-)
I spent 3 bloomin hours at cinema and you didnt make an appearance Robin ;-)
Thankful as always for life's simple things. Hope your recovery continues :-)
CPig, had some chosen to they could in theory have doubled money in 24 hours and got out.
I personally never argued it wasn't a Russian founded company and I never stated it was a buy for a quick divided buck.
The rest is for others to choose.
I assume you are not driving a car anywhere currently or ever again or heating your home as two examples of UK and mainland European people being "morally corrupt" seeing as percentage of fuel still supplied by Russia ;-)
When standing on a pedestal be careful and look at your own "house"
Now Cineworld good to see a little bit recovery last few days and we now have 7 days and counting to be better informed .
KTP, Sorry to spoil the party but have you forgotten we have already had Revenue percentages given to us. We will not have the percentage you note.
See company update.

The investment guru that bought Cine at its 2 year high of £1:20 and sold at mid/high 30's getting away from in his eyes a risky share.
Then invests in xrp (many may say far riskier share) at 74 with it standing today at 73.
Being kind it can be said he is c. 10% better on his money today than had he left his 70% faller where it was.
Not exactly on a get rich quick path though.
Seems to have got delivery of more extra bitter lemons again this last few days

More on the first weekend success of The Batman.
Also found it interesting the continued success of Spiderman. Not outside the top 5 since its release now 3 MONTHS ago. Great for what is without doubt a MASSIVE movie, but may also highlight a little the lack of depth we have had to this stage.
That continues this month/quarter at least.
From next month we do at least appear to have more regular big movie releases (if no visibility yet of more depth).
Bonkers it's US dollars near a billion.
Confusion is with award Canadian dollars.
Hope that has made clearer for yourself mate .
Stay safe, appreciate you possibly doing small bit with your work transfer in this awful situation.
Bonkers the article is not wrong regards award to be fair.
It was C$1.24 or near US $1bn.
However, yes it is mainly the reference in yet another article that speaks of reduced settlement and it not being just pie in sky talk/wishful thinking.
They state "those in the know".
I do still think it's more poetic licence from journalist's just quoting each other, but we can hope there is some real substance in at least one of these articles
Another article referencing "those in the know" and a reduced settlement.

Yes it seemed clearly overdone to me.
Well done nice quick earner there.
Those with shed loads free cash presented with so many opportunities again to buy and hold (or for likes of that one or Amigo today a quick flip)
All depends on too many unknowns to say Cruis regards SP movement come results day.
On the FY 2021 results alone I don't see any major move as we have some picture of what to expect from that already.
Russian war on Ukraine where is that 10 days from now?
Anything of substance on Cineplex appeal?
Anything on case against insurers?
Covenant waivers?
Just how successful have the overheads been cut now we have a decent period to have assessed that?
New locations and poor locations removed effects?
Anything else such as new income stream deals?
Commitments from studios?
Better visibility of greater depth in films?
Deals with Netflix or the likes for more content to screen?
Takeover?
None of us know now, all of us will in 10 days.
"We" seem to be in a phase where the massive movies are happy to release and in cinemas only now.
However with an attempt for each to maximise take they seem to be giving each other a clear few weeks to each other and there is little in the way of "support" movies as it seems at this stage at least they feat they would take such low sums.
Or at least that's my current take on matters.
Look at box office for this last c. 12 months now and that's what it shows.
My "4" was off course meant to be a "3". However add the adverts and trailers before and you are at 3 and half hours.
Reppyrr, Not for an 11pm showing I wouldnt. Mind it's 4 hours long and people go out for drinks etc at these later times weekends.
My local for example has c. 20 screenings per day of this. NEVER would all screenings be full.

Cheers Crumpets,. Yes The Batman looking strong and hopefully bodes well for a string of other such movies over year ahead.
I would still rather like to see a growth in "back up" movies mind.
Let's see if it has legs to get to the $750m - $1bn range. That would be nice.
