I always say never put down to malice what can be attributed to incompetence - especially in large organisations.
GS may be the exception that proves the rule, however.
"If we want to see share prices north of £1 anytime soon it will have to be achieved with the help of buybacks."
Just my opinion, but I'd like to see the share price trading above book value before buy backs are talked about.

Probably just a short position with CFDs. Rubs me up the wrong way a bit, to be honest, it's like playing roulette and putting all your money on green - you might win but it's pretty stacked against you.
