Andrada Mining acquisition elevates the miner to emerging mid-tier status. Watch the video here.
I think you're right, it's like an Ex Div to be guaranteed 640 irrespective of what price it's trading at on the acquisition date , obviously if it's trading above 640 and you held before the record date, then you'd be mad not to sell them and logically if you bought them after the record date and don't sell then you lose the lot.
Definitely if you're in under 640, then might as well see how it plays out, can't lose. if KAZ is anything like FLYBE then i'm sure there will still be a lot of trading opportunities ahead for the brave.
to vote to not re-elect Mr Coetzee, but what are the options ? answers on a postcard. Wimbo suggests Myleen and that get's my vote as she has Klass.
Am I right in thinking that the record date for the acquisition of shares at 640p was the 27th Oct , and any shares purchased after that date don't qualify, so I guess if you haven't sold them at a profit or a loss before the acquisition date , they are worthless?
Typo jdt "so I hope LC can find a way of doing it in our best interests." should read...."so I hope LC can find a way of doing it in his best interests". I think is what you meant to say, given his track record so far. Perhaps one day Rodders, perhaps one day, soon, imminently we live in eternal hope
And POW hasn't moved at all, says it all really , But hey, the board still get paid at the end of the month so what's not to be pleased about.
That didn't last long
i've never understood ' slicing profits", how does it work?
I can only guess that if you've averaged down, it can't work, as you get left holding a lesser amount of shares at a price that may never be achievable. I also guess that by slicing profits, you have little confidence in future increased prices, otherwise why would you, as you now have less shares and less potential profit.
just curious to understand the logic.
SGB, remember Haneti alone was a US $ 750m asset, one of 3 in Kibo's portfolio at the time. I wonder if that is still the case, nice if it was.
The RNS would read, history of Haneti
following 120 years of sampling, we are pleased to announce that we are still taking samples and look forward to updating shareholders imminently, soon, shortly......
bet the yanks are involved in some way, I thought RAF ( USAF) Mildenhall was very active last night and this morning, which is usually a sign that they are up to no good.
Nice one Yaki, now if that doesn't add some value, I give up
Basically accept 640 as it's the best offer on the table. No way, i'll wait thank you very much
tacet, no worries, yes i've been in and out of Kaz for years, averaged down to 418, could be interesting if the buyout gets rejected. My biggest mistake was Kibo , 21 million @ 1.6p... i'll never see it back in my lifetime, but you never know.
tacet, i was referring to Jeps comment to you regarding your holding, i can read thank you very much, and thank you for your kind offer to get on board
"I have £250K in BP at 208p..." LOL, an odd comment to make, as it's all relative to ones net worth. I've got more than that in one stock, but f... me i wish it was in BP, but that's another sorry story , hey live and learn.
CAS
Kibo was coal and REM's when i first invested there, but the REM's have been dumped for peanuts or hived off, ie KAT, even MED is being separated , leaving Kibo as purely coal. Could be a good strategy to ensure anything of value is disassociated from that dirty word coal. ORCP is doing the reverse. Can see the logic in both strategies depending on the starting point I guess
being paid, i can see 30% rise coming today
ORCP have acquired a gold project in OZ. Seems their strategy is the exact opposite of Kibo, they add Gold to Coal and Kibo hve it off. I think that could be a very positive strategy, let's see who's right, Louis or Naheed
I hope it's not a distraction away from coal, seems the opposite from what Kibo have done, they have siphoned the gold away from coal. Interesting to see how this plays out. Can only see this as a hugely positive diversification .
Gillie, LC is probably working out the best way to hive off Moz into an IPO, to guarantee yet another directorship and salary to boot, just so all those poor, miserable, long suffering shareholders that have supported Kibo for many years, don't get a look in at any possible return on their investments. I mean it's not like he hasn't done that before.
