bit like pontoon; I've got 17 or 18 .......do I twist in the hope of reaching 20 or 21 or stick with what I've got and be content and thus not put at risk what I already have with the real risk of going bust. In real life the risk is even higher if children come into the equation. We all have choices to make. With shares, sometimes we make good choices sometimes bad ones. Sometimes what we thought were good choices turn out to be not so good in the long term. Sometimes the bad choices come good!!!!
choice - haven't heard it before. Powerfully sung + great lyrics. Lots of hope in it but not much action. Nothing changes unless you make the changes but changes involve risk; staying in our comfort zone is low risk in the short term but potentially high risk in the long term. I guess it depends on what short term & long term means for each of us. The nice thing about the stock market is that changes occur quite quickly and we have to decide how to react. With family life, changes generally occur slowly and imperceptively. It's only when we look back over several years that we see how much has indeed changed e.g. how your children have grown & changed. I recently put up 21 years of photographs (about 8 from each year) - what an eye opener that was.

Just love the scenery & the motion - Have driven that way a good few years ago - have often thought of taking the train from Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh. I'm probably a romantic (or if you prefer headbasher lol) but all that steam, sound, visual impact of the engine & breath taking scenery with the rugged emptyness of the mountains and lochs makes for a compelling must do sort of feeling. Mind you a lovely sunny day does help. I think it was a day of drizzle on my last visit!! Nice choice thistle - shows you have a heart and a love of bonnie Scotland.
had a long chat to my daughter - I'm all in favour of girls having equal opportunity and of being self sufficient. They still can't help wanting what nature intended - they're programmed that way through thousands of years of breeding. They long to be loved, have a mate, have children, a nice home etc. Having a career, being self sufficient, earning well is great if they can keep all the balls in the air. Some can, some can't! Being totally dependent is not however to be recommended. Overall, I believe girls are doing really well whereas boys are slipping. Your son may be the one who needs most help - he doesn't want to be dependent on his parents or partner!! I think your daughter will do well.

Such things don't happen. Married life can be a bit of a roller coaster - there's ups and downs as we all know, plus a few unexpected surprises along the way. I'm guessing you'll ride it well and maintain a stable base for your children especially at this critical stage in their lives. You can always let your hair down on here & have some fun with the gang et al.
