Andrada Mining acquisition elevates the miner to emerging mid-tier status. Watch the video here.
Currently seeing 10m shares bought at 1.60. At that level of demand, it will go higher today.
GGP has done this before and then dropped back down so I'm cautious. But what with BMV and GGP making up the bulk of my portfolio, it's not been a bad couple of weeks!
Agreed. A definite step-up in confidence and clarity.
It's neat work here, even from a LT holder perspective. Big order to fill (anything below 1.20? who knows), fill up in 1m, 2m, 3m, etc. tranches and occasionally test the high and then drop to see if there's any sellers in the meantime.
But unless you've got something else that's better, TURN OFF YOUR STOP-LOSSES AND DON'T SELL A BEAN!
Please! The current demand is obvious, the upside massive.
Encouragingly, it feels like MMs filling a big order (and hence trying to hold down the price to a degree) rather than a pile-in of PIs. The tranches of stock are very similar. The herd yet to arrive!
I was referring to the interview Aidan Bishop gave which seemed to indicate it was all tied up yet.
I do agree that there isn't actually any ink on this agreement as yet. But I agree with Jersey that this wouldn't have been put out unless they were 99% certain.
I actually think the lack of a signed deal is holding this back to a degree. Will fly when signed!!
Speedy - That may well be the case but it doesn't explain why it's up 1.75% today. Now clean through $2060.
I'm looking at the futures contract, COMEX.
Now closing in on $2060. Has something terrible happened?
ID78, slight correction. The management have done it before but they didn't sell the business. The company they worked for had an offer for the mine which I believe wasn't accepted.
One reason for the muted response may be I think someone forgot to press 'send' on the email! Nothing in my inbox this morning and I only happened to come across the RNS here.
Yeah, getting a bit carried away. 30% of $1.9 billion.
But another question is if GGP did want to acquire all of HAV plus Telfer, how would they finance it? Shares, debt?
$1.9 billion value NOW, not total value. And 4-5x increase in the market cap would be better than a kick in the teeth.
I think, leaving aside other possibilities like bid for GGP or GGP bid for Telfer/Hav etc., one thing this bid will do is accelerate the update to the RE. To try to fend off Newmont or at least get better value, Newcrest will want to maximise their value which will give a strong incentive to bring forward anlysis and decisions on HAV. Alternatively, if they feel they need to dispose of HAV to defend against the bid, then it will also be in their interest to maximise the potential value and hence accelerate the process. I suspect Newcrest analysts and whichever thrid party is doing the assessment are, as of this week, working very hard!
The Financial Review article mentioned a figure of $1.9b for Newcrest's interests 'around Telfer and Havieron'. I don't know where this comes from but if true it's significant for Havieron because Newcrest's interests amount to one nearly dead mine (Telfer), one processing plant (which is just a decommissioning cost without more ore to process), one promising Juri JV (ascribed value now: $0!) and...
...the Havieron deposit!
Is Haverion worth the best part of $1.9 billion? It's possible...
Yes, it's a joke Ross!
Why aren't you laughing?
...me neither.
Good things come to those who wait. But I usually find the ones who can afford to wait on these chat boards are retired! I'm not quite there, with 4 kids to provide for so...I'm glad I waited! What with this and GGP, 2022 should be fine.
Interesting looking back over Brainspark's previous messages on several other shares. All very much of the 'the board should communicate', 'they're just out for themselves' variety. One of his first posts on BMV was in Jan 2021 telling us how he'd just sold!! Actually, if an avatar like his is being used to walk this down, I take it as a 'strong buy' recommendation from someone, somewhere.
I'm confident of good news ultimately but hoping for an early PFS AND great drilling results from Havieron seems contradictory to me. If the drilling is great (as I expect it to be) doesn't that mean they will want to do more and therefore this will delay the PFS in order to have as much drilling data as they can?
Why now? It's pretty obvious:
general propsects + gold price rise + new CFO
You don't appoint a Chief Financial Officer unless you're expecting to have some finances to manage! It's a very good signal. Almost as good a signal in its own way as when the drilling company agreed to take their fee at Havieron partly in GGP shares. Read the runes!
