@ Tradegurus .... old news regarding HSBC.. been like that for a while...
Hundreds of posts today... with many speculating on what will happen on Monday... suggest we all wait until Monday and enjoy Sunday with our families or go chill and forget Cine until Monday....
@M00la ... i agree why would a non-exec director buy shares in Cineworld now if he thought they were about to fail... not a big financial buy... but a big endorsement of Cineworld.... imo..but as always DYOR... gla
Morning all, hopefully a blue day today... gla and DYOR
Major shareholders are:
Global city holdings 29%
Polaris 7.4%
Standard life aberdeen plc 5.88%
Jangho 5.76%
Nortust 4.66%
Aviva 4.55%
Account for 57.25% of the total shares, and some have increased their position or new entrants.. big names guys and a reason why i am not selling any time soon.... DYOR and gla...
I echo others on here, feels nice and calm... all the bad news is out now and the SP hasnt tanked to 30p or lower as some have spouted it would, just need confirmation that the covenant test has been resolved and think we will see a gradual rise in the SP.. lack of derampers of here should speak volumes imo.. but as always DYOR and gla...
Did a bit of Google searching as you do and apologies if others found these before.. back in May this year Amazon were being linked in talks to buy AMC , and as recently as Netflex on the 10th of September said they are not interested in buying a Cinema chain, but wasnt that long ago they were after Regal... so perhaps they dont want to say they are now, and sometimes companies like to dampen down speculation when talks are going on in the background... then of course there are our Chinese friends who have appeared again.. interesting times ahead imo... but of course that is all it is and always DYOR... gl all..
@Amigo.... welcome on joining LSE today!. and your 1st positive post lol = another paid deramper.?.
@ Crumpets... good sensible / pragmatic post which is welcome given all the crazy talk yesterday, lets also see who will be buying up and selling off shares over the coming few trading days as it could give an insight to any possible positioning for a buy out... gla and DYOR
Lot of people panicking on here which to a degree is understandable and selling at a loss or thinking of , but perhaps and imo take a breath and see what the big institutional holders do... if they dont reduce their holding then you could take some comfort from this, but in the end its each individuals own decision as to what they do.. gla and DYOR.
Echo that..... gla to all genuine holders / investors, we have been on a real rollercoaster ride with this share, hope tomorrow delivers what we all think it will, better than expected numbers in terms of cash burn and a positive outlook...
Morning all, has anyone got access to L2 they could share the activity on.. cheers..
You mean x3 lol
I am not surprised by the lack of the derampers, imo they appear when the price is falling or needs to fall for their benefit or that of their pay masters and disappear once the SP rises / their objectives have been met...gla and DYOR..
@jht.... with respect and perhaps another view it is the start of shorters now closing their positions as a rise in the SP could be coming...
Yes meant short position on the Cineworld stock...:-)
Positive imo..
Think about it... irrespective of bums on seats at cinemas..... passive revenue.... dyor....
All, lets not forget that a lot of unlimited cards have been re-activated, so revenue coming in regardless if they visit or not... we kept ours and probably many others did too and human nature will mean that many will keep paying and have not bothered cancelling when cinemas were closed.. imo of course
My advice is ignore him, he has done it before and will do it again. He changes as soon as he buys the shares... DYOR guys...
