Hi PAD004. If that's the only reason for the hold up then there's good reason to be confident the'll get the deal over the line. Then we have to hope everything else falls into place. :)
Hi supermanny11. I'm also with Barclays Smart Investor and haven't received anything. Haven't said that I think they actually forgot to upload CBX onto their system yesterday until someone pointed it out to them!! Both my son (IG) and my daughter (Hargreaves Lansdown) received their allocation yesterday. Poor show by Barclays. As long as they allocate them before the end of the weekend then shareholders wanting to sell won't be disadvantaged. I'm keeping mine!!
I have been an ORM shareholder (1.5m) for c.5 years and have experienced the rise and fall - unfortunately not selling at the peak. I believed the company was really on to something, however the failed Barruecopardo project was a game changer for me. To be blunt it was completely mis-managed with quotes including “substantially lower than the 2012 feasibility study forecasts" and "the mine had encountered significant setbacks during ramp-up operations which had left it seeking further funding." I suspect the latest hold up for the has not been caused by the pandemic (as stated by the company), but more likely due to the terms of the deal or because there are now other interested parties. The current lack of RNS's causes uncertainty and with it a falling share price. I have been selling my shares on the way down from 5p mainly due to my lack of confidence in the Board who seem intent in re-inventing themselves in what they think will be the next big thing. It's a shame they didn't invest some of their funds in mining Crypto in 2018! Like many others on here, I don't know which way to call it, other than 50/50. My current shareholding of 300k reflects that. I genuinely hope for all our sakes they finally get one right. Good luck to all.
Great post Adamskiii. Thanks for sharing your story.
Having read the comments of those far more well read and intelligent than me, together with the regular and positive updates from Peter Wall, I am 100% convinced ARB will go from strength to strength. I do not want to miss the ride! Even if it means me I have to check the share price every 5 minutes. :( Does this compulsion ever wear off?!?!
All I can say is thank goodness I'm 'working' from home!!
Hey Amanensia. :)
Looks like the US may love us after all!! Tomorrow's opening price here is going to be interesting, if the US price continues to be supported around this level. I need to stop looking!!
@LimpingAlong
You couldn't be more wrong. I only learned about CBX because of my well read ARB 'friends' posting it on THIS board last week. Just as @Rangers9inarow says, it's a great way of identifying new investment possibilities.
The reason for my post this morning was because my friend appears to be the very first person to be made aware of his CBX allocation. I was trying to be helpful!! I think you need to relax a little. Maybe take some of that CBD oil! ;)
Hi Parkboy38. You are very fortunate that a few thousand isn't worth bothering about. On that basis you were right not to apply for shares. Others may have different views. To me, a profit is a profit. However small!
Agreed @GreenKitty. Hence my apology at the beginning because there doesn't appear to be a chat board for CBX just yet. I'm sure none of us will mention it on this board once the CBX board goes live. Whenever that may be!! :)
Hi @Parkboy38. Thanks for the reply. You may be assuming that my investment was either Cellular or ARB! It isn't thankfully. I already have a pretty large holding in ARB and continue to top up with every dip. I only applied for £20k's worth of Cellular because of the Peter Wall connection and because I was expecting a huge scale back. It's easy to be blase about small profits but turning £1k into £2k (or more likely £3k to £4k) for the sake of 5 minutes it took me to complete the form felt like a no brainer. I can use the balance money for other investment now. :)
Morning all. Pleeeeease don't roast me about a non ARB post. It's just that I know that a fair few of us applied for Cellular Goods due to the PW connection. My friend applied for £20k and has just seen £19k returned to bank account. This bodes well for his £1000 worth of shares obviously!! I applied for the same amount as him but seen no return just yet! Wondered if anyone else had received a refund yet? Thanks. :)
Thanks @Albert82
I just felt compelled to say something. It takes a lot of guts holding onto to a profit . Especially when it's a life changing amounts of money. There are clearly a lot of people on the ARB forum who have done fantastically well. This should be applauded. Not ridiculed! May we all bask in the glory of that success. :)
