LONDON (Alliance News) - Walker Greenbank PLC on Tuesday said it appointed Vijay Thakrar as a non-executive director with immediate effect.
The luxury interior furnishings company said Thakrar is a qualified accountant who was a partner at Ernst & Young and Deloitte.
In 2012, Thakrar became a non-executive director of the Quoted Companies Alliance, which provides corporate governance and other guidance to AIM-quoted and other companies.
Thakrar is currently a non-executive director of Philippines-based food group Monde Nissin, UK-based irrigation company Briggs, and the MK Dons Football Club Sports & Education Trust.
"I am delighted to welcome Vijay Thakrar to Walker Greenbank's board," said Interim Executive Chairman Christopher Rogers.
"He brings a wealth of experience to the company in areas including corporate governance, business strategy and risk management," added Rogers.
Walker Greenbank shares were trading 0.9% higher on Tuesday at 77.20 pence a share.
